Welcome Archie!!
I’m thrilled to announce the addition of my new family member, Archie. A gorgeous 8 week old chocolate Border Collie puppy to join my beloved Toby and Milly in our fun loving, hair-shedding home.
Archie was bred at Kerodan Border Collies in the Hunter Valley, NSW. He was one of four healthy and energetic puppies – 3 pups were chocolate and white and the other was black and white.
Archie has big shoes to fill- after all, he is following the footsteps of my beloved Toby the Wonderdog but if anyone can handle it, Archie can. He has the genes for it - Archies mother is Toby’s half sister or put another way, Archie’s grandmother is Toby’s mother.
Archie is divine and full of beans. He is loving every moment of his life and the world is his to explore- the new sights, sounds and smells keep him occupied for hours. Like all puppies, he loves to chew and he sure enjoys this hobby. His main passion appears to be my couch and my shoes but nothing is safe! Im spending up big on chewy toys of all shapes and sizes and not letting that little guy out of my sight for one second!
I had forgotten how much energy a puppy has and although I was prepared for the responsibility and work involved I think it will take me and my other fur-kids a while to adjust to the extra activity in the house. I have no doubt it will be worth it. Im sure that in a couple of months, Toby will be love having a younger dog around to keep him company and I look forward to watching Archie grow and learn from Toby.
You will be able to follow all of Archie’s adventures and watch him grow up here on my website in Archie’s Diary. We will follow him through his various puppy stages- his vaccinations, worming, puppy school and training. I will also share the times when he is no so well behaved and workshop what to do about the common puppy problems such as toilet training and chewing.
I hope you enjoy Archie’s Diary and hopefully learn some useful tips along the way- we will be updating regularly as the little fella grows up and learns about the big wide world.
Cheers
Dr Katrina
