The Observatory Hotel, Sydney.

A five star dog secret.

It is so frustrating that Australia has one of the highest rates of pet ownership in the world, yet so few hotels allow pets. But I have discovered that The Observatory Hotel in Sydney, now has two dedicated pet friendly rooms for pooches under 20kg. Cats are welcome too. This has to be one of Sydney’s best kept secrets!
The Observatory is one of Sydney’s most luxurious hotels, situated among historic buildings in The Rocks district. Only moments from the CBD and King Street Wharf, this prestigious Orient-Express Hotel offers a perfect base for exploring Sydney. With only 100 guest rooms and suites, The Observatory offers a high level of personalised service.
A Scooby Doo room service menu is available with a variety of tempting doggy treats, so too are dog beds, cat litter, food and water bowls.
There are a few guidelines in place for the enjoyment of all such as not allowing dogs to sit on the couches, chairs, etc within the Lobby and Lounge areas of the hotel.
There is a fee of $50 per night for the pet friendly rooms to cover steam cleaning
